Continual stress takes a toll on our bodies and cause health issues also known as premature aging

Stress is quite common for most people. When we are stressed a hormone called Cortisol is secreted and if our bodies are constantly stressed they continually secrete Cortisol. This is similar to a car engine that is always running too fast and does not receive maintenance or the right fuel. The obvious result is that the car will break down faster. Our bodies will do the same. Continual stress takes a toll on our bodies and cause healthissues also known as premature aging. Dr. Hans Selye, a stress researcher says, "After every stressful situation, we become a little older." So. the older we get the calmer we need to be.

Here are 6 Simple Ways To Relieve Stress 1. If you can't change it don't worry about it. "You can't always control situations, but you can control your reaction to them." ~ Dr. Bill Sears Don't dwell on the past. If you can't change what happened in the past don't keep thinking about it. 2. Focus on solutions and not problems. After a problem immediately think of a solution so that you can have control. If you feel you have no control your stress will continue. 3. Redirect negative thoughts. When you're stressed redirect your mind by saying, "Take five, don't go there." Imagine in your mind that you're in another relaxed and calm place that makes you happy. 4. Take deep breaths. As you are getting stressed take deepbreaths to calm your nerves down. It relaxes your muscles, and allows you to get more oxygen in your system. 5. Exercising can lower stress by relasing a hormone called Endorphins and improves your mood. 6. Have strong social ties with positive people. Being around happy, positive people makes you happy and positive and can make you forget about the stresses.
